DSG Oil Change

1. Remove skid plate (10x Torx25 & 3x Torx45).
2. Remove drain plug (14mm Allen Head), take care of the crush washer. 
3. Remove the plastic Filler Tube/Level Pipe (8mm Allen Head).
4.  Drain all fluid.
5. Remove the Oil Filter housing (24mm Hex).
6.  Pull the Oil Filter out.
7.  Install new Oil Filter (OEM SKU: 02E305051C or equivalent like Mahle HX132D).
8. Replace O-Ring on Oil Filter Housing and re-install Oil Filter Housing. Don't overtorque.
9. Clean plug, surfaces. rings and filler tube.
10. Install Oil Filler Tube/Level Pipe, install it snug, no torque.
11. Fill up with 5.5 liters DSG fluid (Ravenol DCT/DSG) with a fluid pump and screw-in adapter.
12. Leave the pump in, discharge pressure.
13.  Start engine, let it idle and put it in Dynamic and Sport mode (shifts between 1st and 2nd gear).
14. Plug OBD adapter in and start RossTech VCDS.
15. Select 02-Transmission -> Advanced Measure Values and Search/Select ATF-Oil Temperature.
16. Idle engine until ATF Oil temperature reaches 35-45 Celsius.
17. Kill engine, remove fill plug. If oil comes out, let it flow until it drips -> Install plug + crush washer. Torque to 40-45Nm.
18. If oil doesnt'come out, fill with 200ml increments and repeat step 17.
19. Check for leaks, reinstall Skid Plate.
20. Check VCDS for DTC's and other problems.
   
 

 

 

Haldex Oil Change

1. Remove Fill Plug (5mm Allen Head), be sure it can be filled after fluid is drained.
2. Remove Drain Plug (8mm Allen Head), drain all fluid.
3. Disconnect Haldex Pump Connector from Haldex Controller. If it's difficult, unbolt the Haldex Controller (2x Torx/10mm Hex bolt).
4.  Loosen the Pump Harness Guide (2 push-in clips).
5. Remove Haldex Pump (2x 10mm Hex). Jiggle a bit to remove it. Take care of rubber O-rings.
6.  Remove Filter from pump. Clean it with compressed air.
7.  Clean Pump and Pump Seat in Diff Housing.
8. Inspect O-Rings, put some Haldex Oil on.
9. Reinstall Pump, Harness, Plug in Connector and reinstall Haldex Controller.
10. Check Drain Plug Gasket (copper). Replace if damaged. Reinstall Drain Plug, torque to 32Nm.
11. Fill Haldex assembly via Fill Plug hole with Haldex Oil (Ravenol AWD-H). Pump until fluid pours out. Approx. 0,95L.
12. Install Fill Plug, check copper gasket. Torque to 15Nm.
13. Plug in OBD connector and start RossTech VCDS
14. Select '22 – AWD', select 'Basic Settings – 04'
Select 'MAS02928 – Pump Motor' from the drop-down menu
Select 'Go'
15. The pump starts and calibration is done automatically. Wait until 'Finished Correctly' is displayed.

Rear Final Drive Oil Change

1. Remove Fill Plug (5mm Allen Head), be sure it can be filled after fluid is drained.

12. Install Fill Plug, check copper gastket. Torque to 15Nm.
13. Plug in OBD connector and start RossTech VCDS
14. Select – 22 – AWD, Select – Basic Settings – 04
Use the drop-down menu and select – MAS02928 – Pump Motor
Select – Go
15. Once selected you should be able to hear the pump cycle itself for around 30 seconds to a minute while it relearns its cycles.
When the process is completed, you should see a message advising – finished correctly
